Whyalla Aged Care
Whyalla Aged Care is a $15 million business with $5 million turnover per annum. It employs about 167 staff. Whyalla Aged Care is an integrated service offering a full range of care to about 182 residents and clients. This is through three residential care facilities, nine independent living units, 37 home-care clients and five high-care clients at home. In Partnership with Eclipse Computing Spectrax has implemented the mobility component of PeoplePoint, an aged care management solution built to run on a Dynamics AX platform. The mobility component enables nursing staff at the three residential care facilities to access and interact with client care plans stored on XaptCare. Using Motorola MC 35 the staff can view and update the current care status of a client as they deliver tailored care. This enables staff to record compliance with the existing care plan and also commenting on variations while with the client. Rolled out in May 2008 the solution is being evaluated with the expectation Whyalla will roll out the community care version to its home care clients after the trial period.
