Profile Products is Australia's largest manufacturer of picture frames. Based in Sydney, the company supplies most of Australia's major retailers, including David Jones, Myer, and the Kodak and Fuji photographic store chains, as well as numerous independent retailers.
Situation
While Profile Products uses electronic data interchange (EDI) to exchange information with large retail customers, they needed a different solution to take orders from smaller customers. Profile Products manufactures to order. While the turnaround for products is just 48 hours, their reliance on sales representatives to send in orders via mail meant that it typically took more than five days for orders to be added into the system.
